This cylinder inspection course is designed to promote safe care and maintenance of high pressure scuba cylinders. The VIP program is intended to demonstrate to the diving industry the need to meet and exceed the minimum standards established by the federal code of regulations. In addition, it aims to train inspectors in proper handling, filling and control techniques, including the identification of various defective conditions that can lead to rejection or condemnation of the cylinder. The course will also cover the operation, valve repair, cleaning and maintenance, as well as the operation of high pressure compressor systems.

What you can accomplish:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to visually inspect high-pressure cylinders and detect faulty conditions that could result in cylinder failure. In addition, you will be able to carry out operations of safely transferring cargo, handling, transporting and recharging high-pressure Scuba cylinders.
The SNSI VIP certification is considered a specialization that contributes to the SNSI Advanced Diver Development program.
Minimum requirements:
Conducting inspections on cylinders during the program. Satisfactory completion of the VIP SNSI exam with a minimum score of 80%. Demonstration of the ability to identify conditions that reject or condemn a cylinder.
