Development of Scuba Diving Instructors (IDC - Instructor Development Course) + PS Instructor - SNSI
The SNSI Scuba Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the final step towards achieving SNSI Instructor certification. During the IDC, you will learn to use and adapt the SNSI system of diver education to the needs of each student, supported by a wide variety of teaching materials. SNSI Dive Instructors can lead a wide range of programs, from Discover Scuba Diving to Assistant Instructor. The diving instructor career is today a professional activity where you can work in a market that has been growing with opportunities all over the world. As an SNSI professional, you will have the best product on the dive instruction market in your hands.
prerequisites
- SNSI Divemaster or leadership level of another recognized certification body, or Instructor of another recognized certification body in teaching conditions;
- Minimum age 18 years
- Be physically able to dive, present a SNSI medical form signed by a doctor before the course
- Certified as a diver for at least 6 months
- Log of 100 dives
- to join the instructor training course, you will need to be
passed a test (physical and aquacity) consisting of the following exercises:
- Run 12 minutes at a distance of 2,700 meters for men and 2,300 meters for women.
- Do 25 push-ups in 01 minute for men and 20 for women;
- perform 30 rower-style sit-ups in 01 minute (men and women);
- Swim 200 meters in a maximum time of 5 minutes (men and women)
- Swim any style 800 meters in a maximum of 25 minutes (men and women)
- Dynamic apnea (submerged swimming) of at least 25 meters (men and women);
- Static apnea for at least 60 seconds;
- stay in the water (float) for at least 15 minutes.

Instructor Exam (IE)
❖ Step immediately after completion of the IDC, conducted by an SNSI evaluator to verify the candidate's skills and knowledge. After passing an Instructor Examination (IE-Instructor Evaluation) the candidate awaits receiving the condition of teaching status when he will be authorized to start his career as an SNSI Scuba Diving Instructor.
