The SNSI Basic Open Water Scuba Diver course is designed to give you the skills needed to safely conduct open water dives.

This course is the key to start exploring diving destinations around the world.

Structure:

05 (three) theoretical classes (face-to-face or online);

02 (TWO) practical classes in confined water (swimming pool);

02 (two) Checkout (sea lesson) in open waters, with 6 dives;

1st Checkout at Praia Vermelha
2nd Checkout at Tijucas Islands or Prainha Islands

Target Audience:

  • People who want to obtain a SCUBA S NSI diving certification
  • People interested in underwater exploration

Course prerequisites:

  • Minimum age of 10 years, with parental consent
  • Completing the medical application and submitting a medical certificate
  • Signature of the contract signed by the parents and/or guardian

What you will learn:

The course will cover all skills and knowledge needed for open water diving, including:

  • The aquatic environment: sight, light, sound, heat loss, tides, currents, waves, surf, etc.
  • Physics and physiology: buoyancy, pressure, air spaces, breathing compressed air, gas mixtures, etc.
  • Selection of diving equipment, assembly, use and maintenance
  • dive planning
  • Basic scuba diving skills including: mask and regulator skills, underwater swimming, buoyancy control, basic rescue and emergency techniques

  • Demonstrate mature judgment and common sense in relation to the planning and execution of dives;
  • Satisfactorily complete course knowledge reviews or equivalent in the online learning system;
  • Fulfill all aquatic requirements safely and efficiently;
